I've been nominated for head girl at my school, and i was wondering how i should go about writing the letter of application, has any one got any tips for the style of the letter and what i should write in it? cheers!

Hi, I was the head girl at my school in upper 6th last year(now at uni)..I think you just need to sell yourself as best as possible. State what you do in school, extra circiular activities..if your part of any inschool clubs, groups etc ..what you do and would possibly like to do. What about responsible roles you have played in school? Then talk about outside school activities, again any roles or responsbilities you own..part time jobs etc. Why you think you rdeserve the roll and what you would bring to it etc

I was unaware you needed a letter to be Head Girl. I went to high school with a couple of Head girls they just wore cheerleading outfits and got the job.

Format it like you would if you were applying for a job, and sell yourself babe! What a wonderful opportunity. It will be a great asset on your future CV.

Make it quite formal, but bring out your personality! Let them see what you can do for your school.
