I haven't changed my face only that which is behind the face and yes I do feel a sense of loss, the loss of all the years I wore the wrong face without realising it.

I did not change my ‘face’ when I lost my father, I shaved off all of my waist-length hair. To show that I was in mourning.

All people react to the feeling of loss differently. Some may get a tattoo or piercing done, while others might dye their hair. It is all very general.

It takes so long to redifine your inner sanctum after a face change. If I have to be somewhere and on the way I have to either speak or change my facial expression for someone or something, then loss is probably the nock-on emoition produced by human resentment to cover that realization.
