I think it's because they really want to wear a skirt, but then they'd be called a fag. So they go with the next best thing: a skirt with legs at the bottom.

It is their way of memorializing those superb humanitarian gangsta heroes of some twelve year back who did so much to bring the world together in peace and harmony !! It is also a great way for them to display the fact that they are wearing at least somewhat clean underwear (which is a statement--I think--about hygene) AND it also goes to the fact that it shows "solidarity" with their peers because to NOT do that would make them somewhat of an "individual" and THAT would be totally unforgiveable within the cultural view of "lost within the crowd" lifestyle that demands that they all be the exact same person !!!!
Hope this helps-----now look for the absolute newest memorializations taking shape as the next generation takes on the Grand Design of bringing cosmetic surgery to a new level with surgically installed "bullet holes" placed in various visible parts of their body to show themselves to be "one" with the newest group of gangsta's who have endured so much for the cause of freedom within the ravaged socially deprived areas of our nation !!!!
All of this will certainly meet with the approval of families all over the nation because not to allow this form of "expression" with their children would be looked on as socially "degrading" for them and NO family is going to put their child through THAT--- because without peer acceptence -- they could grow up to be worthless human beings !!!!

thats not exactly the reason. Why most guys do it now is because everybody is doing it. Its the "in thing" and so every one does it. It think it looks totally terrible. The style started in prison. It was actually guys that weren't straight would wear their pants like that to let other guys know that they were available and wanted some "attention". most guys today don't know that, they just wear their pants like that becuase they think it looks cool. Thats basically the reason. but if they knew the actual meaning of that, i'm pretty sure they would pull their pants up. but yeah... hope i was able to help!

I agree. It is a horrific look for any human. It shows lack of taste & class.
Do they realize how absurd they look?
It's kind of like those 500 pound women who insist on wearing hip huggers....

they think it looks good or makes them appear cool...in all actuality it has the total opposite effect, it makes them look cheap & disgusting!!! i think it`s nasty, i would never date a guy or even give him a 2nd look if he`s wearing something like that!!!

Haha I agree it looks SSOOO stupid. I like tighter clothes on guys, where you can actually see their bodies and their muscles
