So i have this freind and my mom thinks she is just using me when her other freinds are busy. i really dont think that is true we have known eachother for bout a year now and my mom says she really could careless and my father is just taking my mothers side so i have no choice. PLEAE HELP!

You sound intelligent. Use your own judgment and don't worry about what your parents are saying. It is good that they are worried about you being her. They love you. But as long as you are happy with the way your friendship is, I wouldn't give it a second thought.

Parents tend to know best out of experience (meaning they probably had it all happen to them before). They brought you into this world and naturally want you to protect you from negative experiences. When this happened to me a long time ago (I'm 31 now) I rebelled by never listening to my mom. Consequence? I got hurt every single time my mom warned me! Still, if I had a chance to do it all again, I'd never change a thing because I'm stubborn and getting hurt is the only way I learn. You have to be honest with yourself.

Why are your parents meddling into your friendships? Did you ask them what they thought? Why don't you look at this friend objectively and decide for yourself if your friend is using you. If you haven't asked for mom's advice, I think she needs to focus on her own concerns. However, if she thinks this person is a bad influence or would hurt you in any way, you need to listen to her. That's when it becomes her business.
