I've never tried proactive because it is so costly and I don't want to spend that kind of money if I don't know for sure if it will work. A lot of people I know say it works great at first and then after a while it doesn't work. I always like St. Ives apricot scub. It cleans deep down in your pores and there are different types for different skin types. I get the oily acne prone skin, my skin isn't real oily but it still works great. You can find it right at wall mart or any store like that and its only like 2 or 3 bucks!

instead of using that crap... dab antibacterial soap on your acne.. leave for a few minutes ( 5 minutes or so) and then wash off... and after apply polysporin to your acne.. just as you would moisturizer and you will be amazed at how well it heals your acne.. it takes a few weeks for it all to be gone.. but just in a day or 2 you will see how the redness fades, and that the skin has a healthy glow starting again

proactive and cetaphil are good for realy bad acne problems. but if it's regular, teenag acne, then you're okay with l'oreal or any of those other products out there. the branded ones usually work better bec they've had better R&D than the rest. but the key is to find out what really works for your skin. what works for one person doesn't necessarily guarantee that it'll work for you bec we all have different skin types.

Dont use proactiv, people here whove used it probably have terrible, rough skin
just use cetaphil, then get some gel for the acne.

I use one called "Noxema Triple Clean Blackhead" cleanser...
It is wonderful, takes care of all types of zits and flaky skin...
I also use (don't laugh) "Nivea for Men Energy : Energizing Face Scrub"
That kicks major a$$ too....
