i agree as well. Some ppl feel they don't have to pick a best answer because they think that the person is wrong an stuff. No Way, pick an answer that you think is correct or at least close to it. My Gosh. And it will also give the asker 3pts. That's their chance to get some pts. you know

It seems to be either laziness or they forget. At least there is the alternative of having the community pick it. When was the last time you went through and gave an opinion on the best answer for a Q?
Less points but cool.

When I first joined Yahoo ! Answers I was not sure of the rules and how it worked, now I pick the best answers, sometimes it is hard to pick just one, so I wait and think, but usually I have no real problem. =)
