You fish has pop eye, a bacterial infection. It is the first symptom of an infection of the fishes liver. Left untreated the fish will first lose it's eyes (literally) and then die of the infection spreading to other organs.

Many people consider pop eye difficult to treat but it is not with the proper medication. You must treat with an antibiotic that can be absorbed by the fish through it's gills and there are actually very few that fall into that class. Furanace is one of those and probably the most readily available. I would strongly suggest you treat with that if at all possible. Medicated antibacterial food is also an excellent idea as those medications will be absorbed as well.

Without a well absorbed antibiotic the mortality rate for this disease is about 80% even when treated with other medications. With a well absorbed medication it drops to about 5% so you can see absorption is the key to the cure.

Best of luck with your fish

It has popeye. Go to a petstore and they have meds you put in the water. Make sure you know the gallon size of the tank in order to buy the right amount. The fish will be fine once you get i some meds though.

It has Popeye, and you should seperate it from the other fish. My fish had it once, and it killed all my fish. Go to your pet store and get some medicine ;)
