Whether or not we should is irrelevant. Chances are we will. In a very real way America is responsible for the very existence of Isreal. We give them money, weapons and we trained their military.
Did you know that the US shares more military, technological, and political secrets with Isreal than we do with any other nation? Including Japan, the UK or even Canada!

Israel is a big boy now and has been sucking at Uncle Sam's teat at the tune of countless billions per year for way too long. They've got the strongest economy in the middle east and are armed to the teeth. They should strive to settle things with their neighbors, but if not, they can defend themselves quite ably on their own. Meanwhile, the USA has too many of its own problems right now like terrorism and a corrupt government that callously stood by while a great American city was allowed to drown.

I think directly challenging islamic hegemony in the region is completly counter-productive to our global goal of "world peace". supporting Israel forces the US to admit that it is just as interested in having the world's ball in a vice as any run of the mill terrorartist, or socialist european nation. The fact that Israel can't find support anywhere else is an indicator as the amount of pressure that people are receiving from the people under their boots. But then again the jordanians, and syrians have persecuted way more palestinians than israel could dream of, so i think we should support them too. If our intention is to make life hell for brown people that is.

the main reason why America always backs Israel is because of Gen 12:2-3, this is illogical support for a country. So the bible says something about this part of the earth and then all the people who read it think we have to back them or we will be cursed! this is crazy!

No. the USA should force Israel to negotiate in good faith for once, and come up with a settlement that is fair to Palestinians.

Israel is the only country that has the balls to actually stand up against these muslim motherfukers, don't worry about iran getting nukes because Israel will bomb the *** out of iran if things get out of hand!
