Mine is The Goose-Girl by Jacob and Wilhelm Grimm. Right now I am reading The Goose-Girl novel by Shannon Hale and I love it. I loved that fairy-tale since I was two, when I first heard it. What's your favorite fairy-tale or nursery-rhyme?

Pretty much all of the princess ones. Beauty and the beast, cinderella, snow white, sleeping beauty. I love all of them.

The Fairy by Charles Perrault (the same guy who did the fairy tales that most of the original Disney movies were based on)

It's basically about two sisters, one's a real cow, and the other is nice but mistreated (kind of like Cindarella) and they both get their rewards from a fairy who disguises herself in the woods as different ladies and asks for help.

When I was younger, I loved Hands Hands Fingers Thumb.

1.) ' Little Orphant Annie'
2.) ' Alice In Wonderland'
3.) ' The Lepracaun; or, Fairy Shoemaker'
4.) ' The Snow Queen'
4a) ' The Sreadfast Tin Soldier'
4b) ' The Emperors' New Clothes'
4c) ' The Tinder Box'
Of all of these I like " Alice In Wonderland' the best.

My favorite since I was a baby has always been Cinderella. Typical, isn't it? :-) I enjoy the many retellings of the story, and am looking forward to reading Gregory Maguire's Confessions of an Ugly Stepsister sometime soon.

Jack and the Woodstock. Jack gets some "magic beans" from a guy dressed in rainbow colors and peace symbols. He plants the seeds and a stalk grows that takes him to a great 60's concert in the clouds.

"Fee fo fum fi...excuse me while I kiss the sky..."

He ends up stealing Hendrix's magic harp...uh...guitar and travels back to Earth to become a famous music promoter.

Good stuff!

I like the story of Peter Pan because he goes to Neverland where he never grows up. I think it's important for all of us as adults to have our inner child freed every now and then. =)
