Yeah, thanks man. I needed that trip down memory lane. Think I'll take another spin. Country boys remember running in fields of wheat almost as tall as you.
It's like standing in an ocean only 4' deep, and as far as the eye can see. That's where you chase the wind on the wheat.

And, when you get back to the house, you pump the water pump until the cool water washes the dust from your head, and it tastes ... tastes like water should taste and quenches your thirst. FOR SOME REASON, water in a bottle today ain't got that quenching taste.

Yes, I tell my kids and grandkids that I am very sorry that they will never know the innocence and fun and safety of the era I grew up in. The 50's were a great time for all kids and was such a world away.

Man, I live those days every day. I live in a rural area, after having spent the first 15 years of my life in a large metropolitan city. I live on a small river, I have a small boat, a big dog, and an outdoor beer fridge. Life has slowed down so much, and when that happens, you start to feel free like you wouldn't believe. Don't get me wrong, I still have to work, but where I am, even work has a more relaxed, friendly atmosphere. I love it.

Yes when I was still living at home in the country, I would wake up with the bedroom window open, and I would hear the birds, and the crop duster and I would smell the bacon my mom would be cooking, it was so effing nice, If I could go back to a certain time I think I would start there! ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥

Yes, they were! When you would just hang out with your friends without a care in the world. School was out, no work, no responsibilities!

Roll out those lazy hazy crazy days of summer. Those days of soda and pretzels and beer...
