He will have the same, if not worse numbers than David Carr. Does management really think it was Carr's fault for the Texans problems? If they had actually addressed the biggest problem which was the offensive line, they'd actually have a better record. Like the Reggie Bush blunder, I think they screwed up again. No QB will survive behind that horrid O-line, not even the great Matt Schaub.

He might actually decide to throw the ball, compared to Vick (who always ran), and Carr (quick dump to the back).
Also depends on the OL.
Same thing as the last 5 years, and nothing will change.
Make some improvements, and he will look better.
Carr has it etched in his memory to RUN AWAY, and that's why he doesn't have another 60 or 70 sacks on him.
Schaub needs speed if the OL doesn't change its ways.
Things could be worse, so a new look with Schaub was the right way to go.

matt schaub is highly accurate. he is a bit taller than carr and has far better vision. the texans must get a better o-line. with that said, i think the texans will struggle, but schaub will have better stats than carr did. he will also get sacked at the same rate if not more. schaub will have one of the rising receivers in the league in andre johnson and will have a still solid ahman green. another WR to complement AJ would be good b/c after him the receivers are pretty poor. schaub will also have old uva teammate wali lundy around. that's always good for your mentality.

Matt Schaub is still pretty raw in terms of his abilities as he hasn't played a whole lot. The jury is still out on this guy. I think he has the potential to be a good quarterback. We'll just have to wait and see.

In my opinion and at this point, almost anyone could do better than David Carr - even a guy who was backup and played one game last year, and got a 92.4 QB rating for that game by the way.....

He'll only do good if the players believe in him. If nobody beleives in him, then the recievers will drop balls, and he will get sacked, like Carr.

Probably about as well as Carr did. They need a better O-line and they need some more skilled plaers around him.
