Ok I'm 5months pregnant and my prenatals are too big for me to take. I've taken maybe 3 during my whole pregnancy. Is there something else I can take besides them. And how will it effect my baby?

Talk to your doctor about a different brand. I know exactly what you are talking about, Currently i take "Obtrex" its not bad and not as big as the others, but there are different ones too, I can't remember the names. Talk to your doctor and he/she can help maybe prescribe soemthing different

Prenatals are not THAT important. The important thing is Folic Acid Acid and they are very very tiny. But, if you're 5 months, the crucial part is already over that it's needed for. If you're wanting to take vitamins, my doctor said to take Flintstones. I had the same problem

Try a different brand--I take One Source prenatal vitamins--available at Wal-Mart--and instead of being one huge pill, they break it down into two smaller pills. You take two pills a day instead of one--but the pills are the size of tylenol instead of like horse pills.

if your prenatals are too big for you to take ask you doctor about the chewable ones. they don't taste that great but you really should take prenatals.

you can take Flintstones. You need to step up your diet , and eat lots of fruits and veggies. Your baby will be fine. I was never able to take them, they made me deathy ill. I have 2 very healthy, smart children. And one on the way.

Try breaking them up into smaller pieces and taking them separately. if this does not work. tell your doctor the problem and ask him to prescribe you a smaller vitamin.
