I am a big fan of John Patterson of the Nationals, but have not heard much about him since he was out most, if not all, of last season. I read he was to make a scheduled start, but fainted during warm up a few days ago. Is his health ok? Is he going to be playing this year in his normal routine?

John Patterson "kind of passed out" Saturday after shagging fly balls during batting practice. The club said Patterson complained of dehydration and was given intravenous fluids. He's expected to make his next start and pitch on Opening Day for the Nats.

Supposedly, he is okay, was just dehydrated. I have had that happen to me, walking along, and BOOM! Out go the lights. Some IV fluids and I was good as new. His arm is supposed to be coming around fine. He should be good to go unless something else comes along, injury-wise.
