Celtics should take Oden because they need a big man. Plus they already have a star G/F in Pierce so Durant wouldn't fit there.

The Grizzlies should take Durant becaue they have Gasol already and they have no scorer at the G/F position.

Whoever gets the 1st pick should take Oden should he decide to enter the draft. He's a force on the defensive end and will continue to develop his offensive game. You have to remember Oden didn't have his right hand early in the year and by the time the NBA season comes around, it should be pretty well healed. His offensive will come. He is a very smart player as well. Durant is an excellent scorer, but in the NBA where every team scores 100+ a night, you need someone who will dominate the paint against drivers and other big men and Oden fits it perfectly.

If I were either team, I would go with Greg Oden. He's an incredible big man, and I think that he is on another level than Kevin Durant. Don't get me wrong, Kevin Durant is good, but as his career in the NBA goes on, Greg Oden's talent will become compareable to Patrick Ewing.

For the Celtics, he's their missing piece. It's easy to see they have no big man, and he could help them out a lot there. I think he would make a great difference for the Celtics in the paint, as that's been one of their big weaknesses this year.

For the Grizzlies, they don't need another big man, since they have Gasol, but imagine what kind of combination that would be with Greg Oden at Center, Pau Gasol at Power Forward, and Rudy Gay at Small Forward. That would be a force to be reckoned with down low, and it would make the Grizzlies a real threat I think.

So Durant's not a bad pick to fall back on, but I would take Oden in a heartbeat.

The team that picks first should pick Oden b/c Durant isn't tough enough for the NBA

I say the Celtics should get Oden. They need a big guy upfront. The Grizzlies already have Gasol and the Celtics already have Pierce, who is good on the outside. Grizzlies need some who could make three pointers, and Durants is their guy.

Durant! He'll put butts in the seats. I don't see Oden becoming much of a scorer.

Durant's team (Memphis) would definity have the bigger impact.
