First admit your "bad" behavior. Don't call yourself bad, just the behavior.
Second, give your friend a call and tell her you would like to talk to her in private. Set a day and time and place. Make it important so that she knows how important her friendship is to you.
Third, when you sit down and talk, own your feelings, thoughts AND actions with I statements. Don't say You or My mom in this case. Take responsibility for your own feelings, thoughts, and behavior.
Fourth, tell her how much her friendship means to you. And why.
Fifth, ask her for forgiveness.

Wow that one is hard. I would go to her and fess up. Tell her that you were wrong and you realize it now and you want to take her to dinner/make dinner and spend some time together. Not so much to make up for it, just to reunite and get over it. Just a speed bump in life! Good luck!

First of all you need to stop lying - it'll save you alot of trouble in the future! I'm sure you explained why you couldn't attend your friend's birthday. If she's a friend, she'll understand. Maybe you can treat her to dinner and a movie.

I think you should call her up to go out to eat (your treat) and go shopping and talk to her and tell her how sorry you are. Thats what my friend did for me and things are fine now!

when my friend was bad to me and wanted to make it up to me, she gathered around a couple of my friends and made them write letters to me for my birthday which was a really nice gesture on her part and really touched me.
think of a sweet gesture to make it up to her, make a care package for her including a letter apologizing for what you did to her and how much you love her as a friend.
hope that helps :)
