Need a topic for a poem?

i'm writing one for school, but i don't know what i can write about.
any ideas?

Well it kinda depends on what style poem you need to write. There are many types of poems, some of the most popular being Haiku, Acrostic, Diamonte, Cinquain,Bio-Poem, Recipe, and I Am poems. All are good styles and I reccommend either Acrostic, Haiku, I Am or Bio-Poem.

The layout for Acrostic Poem is like this:
1. You take a topic (For Example your name) and put it down the side like this

2. then for each letter, you fill in a word that describes the topic, like this

Radiant
Awesome
Cool
Hilarious
Enthusiastic
Loving


For a Haiku Poem, you have a format that is 5 syllables, 7 syllables, 5 syllables. It is usually about nature. The syllables are seperated into 3 lines. Like this

It is warm outside (5 syllables)
I really want to go swim (7 syllables)
Go in everyone! (5 syllables)

think about something you really like and write about that!!!
poems can be about anything at all so write about a topic you are interested in!
