I saw that the match between Bermuda and Bangladesh has been delayed due to bad weather. What will happen now? How will it be decided that who will proceed to the super 8? can anybody explain, 'coz i love cricket but am an ignoramus on the elimination system of the WC.

if the match get abandoned or canceelled due to any reason; india wil be out & bangla will go through super8

If it is not possible to play 20 overs each side, the match will be abandoned and each team will be awarded 1 point each. In such an eventuality, Bangladesh will have 3 points total and will enter Super 8 and India will be eliminated from the world cup.

There is a rule in this WC that the play will resume next day(reserve day), right from the state it was in the previous day. That is it will not be replayed the next day. Let us hope for some play today. Even if there is none, we have another day, at the feet and mercy of Bermuda. A crying shame!!
It is a curse to India, and I partly blame it on Dravid and Chapell for the way they plotted (unsuccessfully) against Ganguly for their vested interests. I still think it is more of Mumbai, Bangalore, and Kolkata in the Indian team instead of a united Indian team. Instead of players and play, there is more of play by the sponsors and Board.

its sure if Bangladesh and Bermuda match ends in a draw then each team will share 1-1 point then Bangladesh will have 3 points played in 3 matches and India will have 2 points so Bangladesh and sri lanka will qualify for super8.....and india will be out of the world cup 2007.........

A chance is that both teams will be given a point each and thus the team with more points goes in super 8,or if one team has played and another team has played more than 25 overs,then by D/L method, the winning team will be decided.

At least India got a Bermuda (pants) to hide their shame. I don't know what will happen but I would be certainly prefer if the oldies are kicked out. (Sachin, Dravid, Ganguly, Kumble, Sehwag, Agarkar). Also kick out the Mumbai Mafia and politics from the cricket.

Though it is ignonimous India can go through if Bermuda beats Bangla desh through Duckworth formula or otherwise or if for some reason Bangla forfeits the match.
