88 silverado, throttle body injection. fuel runs sputteringly. its a 20 year old unit, so can i clean the injectors since they are easy to get to or should i just replace them? cant get rid of the truck just yet. how can i do either one step or the other? thanks ahead of time.

The primary answer is to change them. got it. Anyone know the procedure, is it like pretty simple since its right on top?

Change em. It takes a special machine to hold the injectors open and inject high pressure cleaner, and it ain't cheap. Those injectors are worn out at that age anyhow. You can get some generic injectors from JC Whitney or somewhere for a pretty good price.

Dude change em. I had a 92 and should have done the same. The injectors are just wore out. As far as removing them it is not difficult, pretty straight forward. take air cleaner off, remove the snorkel, unplug the injector plugs, then unscrew the hold down bracket, when you replace them however be sure to put some vaseline on the "O" rings to keep from damaging them. It will be a little more expensive but, it will recoup itself in fuel mileage and performance. Not to mention emissions.

I will go for new injector.and oxy sensor.
