Hi Mommy,

I have had wonderful luck with Acer & their prices aren't to bad.

The display is crisp and clear, color rendering is excellent and response is quick. Life is also excellent.

Get a 19" or larger if your budget allows.

LCD monitors are not the best for photo editing. If you want to spend less than $1,500 and you want the best for photo editing you should go CRT. That said if you must have an LCD I would save the extra $500 and go with the Samsung monitor mentioned in the other post.

If you are editing photos professionally, you'll need at least a 19" monitor. There are many great monitors out there though. What you need to look for is one that will provide a high resolution output with a low dot pitch. Take a look at www.aria.co.uk . They have quite a few decent monitors.

Dell's monitors are pretty good. Apple's monitors are amazing, but the price...ouch...
