Okay, I had an ipod mini also about 2 months ago, and I was experiencing the same problem. The other problem I had was that it kept turning off after like 5 minutes of listening to it and it was fully charged. So I took it to the Apple Store, and they said that the battery was old and there was nothing they could do about it unless you got a new ipod. So my mom bought me an iPod Video instead. Those rock! But good luck with your mini!
