that's like asking is getting kicked in the junk better than recieving a million bucks. Of course not. and any idiot with half a brain knows it. Vegeta has had to bust his *** so much harder than Goku to attain his power; that right there proves vegeta is better than goku. Also, Vegeta did attain Super Saiyan 4, but he did skip over 3 since he's too good for such a hilljack transformation. i just had to rectify some of the other ppl's answers a bit.

Goku is better than Vegeta because Goku is able to quickly gain the level powers and Vegeta has a hard time due to his apathy. Plus! Goku is better looking!

Sorry people I've read the answers and vageta did bust his but to obtain powers but guess what SS2 was achieved by a machine not his own will .Vageta was never strong enough to make it to SS3 which is an awsome level when perfected.Goku trained very hard constantly in other world Stated by king kai to make it to that level it's So powerfulo since he wasn't living it draind his spirit time on earth thats why he lost it so fast during battle but perfected he stays in it as long as he wants (shown in Gt)it's just that villians Got stronger and please don't forget Sayin Dna can remeber power so when babie was in Vageta the battle damaege plus babies power did give him a little boost in power but he still isn't as strong as Goku.Vagetya broght all his pain on himself and,Think of how strong Goku would be in SS4 when he is an adult, he always complains of his child body not being able to hold his true power, And Dangit i totally forgot.Why are we debating this when on 2 occasions Vageta has admitted Goku is the better Warrior, while Goku was fighting buu and at the end of Gt when he gave Goku his props before he said Goku is nor living nor Dead he just is.Thats from the prince of all sayins own mouth.And besidse goku respects him so much he still refers to Vageta as the prince of all Sayins and will give him a rematch anytime.But now it was Goku who was choosen by the Dragon not Vageta.Goku is not only the stronger character hes the better No one has given up as much as Goku. Vageta may be the prince of the Sayins But Goku is their God!In terms of his Legacy!!!

well, goku and vegeta are both really great warriors. it depends really. if you want really strong, kind and gentle, look at goku. If you want mean,strong, rough, and picky, look at vegeta. actually, gokus the main character, so i think he is. but on the other hand, vegeta's prince of saiyans.

yes bec goku go super sayian 1,3,4 level first reach and he is pure heart too.you see in movies 8 when brolly hit goku goku is laugh but vegeta say we can't beat brolly. i know vegeta is stronger but you see in super sayian he smaller then goku in size.what happen goku don't give up

goku is much better then vegeta....
im sure u know this but vegeta never officially made it to SSJ3... he skipped that because he was never strong enough to make it to SSJ3.....
