There are a few medical conditions that can cause sweating, either in excess or even when its cold etc.

Most of them arent serious, and a lot of them can be help these days with medication and/or surgery (yes, surgery).

If it really bothers you, go see your doctor.

If its only minor, then try out different things that might help - shower more often, try different deodorants, or keep a spare shirt with you...etc...

I have a friend who had the same thing and I would advise seeing a doctor. He was prescribed pills but, upon reading the label, found that it was serious stuff which he even had to get permission from his doctor to stop taking them (since it could lead to heart attacks!) In the end, he came off them and tried to determine the cause of his sweating. He found it was linked to alcohol and stress from work. When he had neither, he was still always hot, but he didn't sweat as much. Each person is different and yours may be a psychological or physical cause, or both (like my mate), but by seeing a doctor you will at least find out whether there is something you can do about it, or whether it is something you will have to live with.

Alternatively move to Iceland.

Best of luck.

I get that too; its horrible because people stare at you like you have chosen to sweat like that!!

There is a radical treatment for it which involves having botox injected into the sweat glands in your armpits. I don't know if its painful or not (I imagine it would be!) and, as I understand it, what can happen is that your body compensates simply by "redirecting" the sweating elsewhere on the body.

Well, if you see a dermatologist, they can use injections to limit the sweating. Probably not so much fun, but if it really bothers you... There may be other options as well, I just read about the injections in a journal the other day. Ask your doc.
