Does drinking a lot of water make you fat and bloated? OR does it help you lose weight? I'm just curious =]

Water weight just means that you are retaining fluid and the fluid retention causes you to gain weight. Once you flush the fluid out of your system, you lose the weight. When you drink enough water (a minimum of eight 8oz. glasses per day) then it will flush the excess fluids from your body. Also, if you eat a lot of salt this can make you have water retention, cutting back on salt intake also helps to keep your body from retaining fluids. Keep in mind that if the weather is hot, your body requires more water than usual.

Water weight is when your body can't get rid of it's excess water. It's not that you are drinking too much, there may be a medical problem. If this happens often, you should see your dr. Both my sisters have this problem and have to take medicine.
