Yes, and there are a SLEW of people with similar interests. Polar Lights (a now defunct model company) put out many re-pops of the old aurora kits including many of the originals in the 1990's and early 2000's. The also released many original kits including several HUGE Star Trek kits. They were bought by Racing Champions (AMT/ERTL) and are nothing but a name now.

I suggest looking on eBay under models and search for Polar Lights. You can still get most of their stuff, but it's getting increasingly expensive.

BUT, there is a silver lining. A company called Mobieus Models is starting up and should have their first kit, Doctor Jeckell Meets Mr. Hyde (an Aurora re-pop) will be out anyday. He has aggressive plans for future releases including a 39" television Seaview sub later this year.

Aurora is gone but CETAINLY not forgotten! Check out the Aurora Yahoo group page below. You will find MANY rabid fans there!

Yes I do... though I built their DC-8, USS Forrestal, and a few others...

Check out Fine-Scale Modeller Magazine for information on companies that are making those kits.
