my daughter wants an ipod for her birthday but i'm having trouble affording one. while checking into them i found mp3 players and some other kind of music down loading thing. i know nothing about these things but i would like to get her what she wants. i don't know if it has to be a ipod or if she just wants music that she can download, all she told me was that she wanted a screen on it she could read. what would be the easiest and most useful for a 16 year old. i would like to keep it under 150.00 if possible but that probably wont happen. someone please help, her birthday is soon-like tomorrow!

An Ipod is a brand of MP3 players. MP3 is the format that the music is saved under. The desirable thing about IPODs is that they are very easy to use, and can make listening to music much easier. You can have a playlist called Christmas Songs, or Party, or mellow, and they are very easy to access, without all that technical mumbo jumbo. If your budget is 150, then I think there are some Ipods out at Best-buys that would have below that, but I'm not sure. Try buying a used Ipod, or a Ipod from 3 years+ that can do the same things, but maybe can have 500 songs instead of 1000 or 1000 instead of 10000, but either way, Ipods have been around for a few years and I bet you could find one at a good price if you find a good one used, and it would still have the same functions......just wouldn't be nano, or micro or whatever.

particular there's a distinction. I very own between the final upconverting Blu Ray gamers on the marketplace. My LG great Blu participant does an spectacular pastime upconverting widely used DVD's. I unquestionably have unquestionably tricked some acquaintances into thinking they have been watching hi def. Then I put in a Blu Ray or an HD DVD in basic terms while they theory the photograph could not get any further effectual. they are blown away as there's a huge distinction. the better your reveal screen is the bigger the version would be. A 1080p photograph on a greater 1080p reveal screen is the final of the final and particular you may tell.

im 16 and i got a 1gb ipod nano last year, and its...okay. it was 150, if that's what youre looking for. i almost regret it because afterwards, i checked out the Zen players and found that theyre not only cheaper, but had more colors and options to choose from. you can get more space for less money, and theyre just as easy and fun to use as an ipod. you might want to check out a few other options before just running out and getting an ipod...im sure as long as it has a screen, your daughter wont mind. hope i helped :)

An ipod is a trademarked name by Apple. It is still an Mp3 player, just a more expensive one. If it were me, I'd buy one that takes batteries (purchase re-chargable ones to replace) and doesn't have internal batteries that you have to plug into charge.

I bought my daughter an ipod two years ago at Christmas and the battery life doesn't last on them after so much time.

Ipod is just more organized and easier to use all around. for me thats easily worth the extra money your going to have to pay but if you are not wanting to spend over $150 i have two other suggestions: Samsung 2GB* MP3 Player (it looks sleak like a ipod and is pretty easy to use) and the Creative Labs Zen V Plus 2GB* MP3 Player (which is cheaper and smaller, but also just as easy to use)

ipods are amazing. I wouldn't settle for anything else but thats just me. You can buy her a 2gb ipod nano for 150 dollars exactly. It has a screen and it can hold about 500 songs. Its cute, its tiny, its silver, it has a screen. Go for it!
