I leave tomorrow for vacation and have a million things to do, so I don't know if I should just move the entire fish tank to another outlet or go buy an extension cord for 4 different plugs, please help! BTW, I called my apartment people to come fix it but don't know if they will be here today :(

You could buy a cheap power strip (2-3$), and a 14 gauge extension cord (5-6$)

I would worry about why the outlet isnt working, if your fish tank is overloading a circuit that is already stressed by other devices then the breaker may have tripped. Are there other outlets or lights that dont work? If that is the case then its probably a breaker. If thats not the case then you may have a more serious problem which requires immediate attention.

Either the breaker has tripped and needs to be reset or you have a GFI controlled outlet and the GFI has tripped. If it is a GFI circuit, it may not have a reset on the receptacle its self. It may be chained with another outlet in another room.

Good luck and enjoy your vacation.
