Okay, this is what works for me with any health problems and it can work for you also. Take one clove of garlic and dice it into a bowl, the smaller it is diced the better. Then add plenty of honey to cover it. Then eat by the spoonful without hesitating in swallowing it right away. Do not take to much at one time, or you will upset your tummy. But with rest and 3xdaily of garlic/honey you will be up and running in no time. How long to continue this-you will know if you listen to your body. Good Luck :)

There is no "cure" for a cold. You can only treat the symptoms. I use dayquil when I have a cold. I can't advocate any home remedies, except chicken soup. It has electrolytes, protein, among others that will help your immune system do its' job of fighting off the virus. You have probabl heard the saying: If you do nothing for a cold, it will go away in a week, but if you treat it, it's only 7 days. :)

there is no cure for the common cold, it's caused by a virus and your doctor should tell you that there are no cures for most viruses.
the only thing you can do to help prevent colds is to wash your hands frequently as the virus moves from hand to mouth, nose, eye. when people with a cold touch a door knob, the virus is there for the next victim
to make you feel better, take something that will help you sleep at night, drink lots of watery fluids, avoid mucos foods like milk, ice cream, and bananas

Well, you can't "cure" a cold, but mixing honey and vinegar (I use balsamic) about half and half is a very good tonic. I take about 3 tablespoons periotically during the day for sore throat relief, and the honey is a cure all. The vinegar cleanses. Then, drink lots of water to flush your system.

A "cold" now a days seems to be a reaction of unbalanced body heat to our environment.
If it is not too cold in your region, take a cold bath/shower, this should relieve body heat to a great extent.
Lemon (one), ginger juice ( a spoon full only) and honey will sooth the respiratory tract where 'cold' hurts most.
Cotton swabs soaked in cool milk kept for 20 mins on the eyes will stop the burning in eyes.
Pranayama, especially Nadi shodhan will bring overall relief to the breathing passage.
Lots of sleep and lots of water.
