Money in Munich, Germany?

I am traveling to Munich this spring for about 8 days. I need to pay for meals, drinks, admission to parks/attractions, and other souvenirs. How much would you suggest? I went to France two years ago and I have a feeling that France was more expensive than Germany when it comes to the Euro but I am just not sure.

Yes, France is more expensive than Germany. But, Munich also is known as one of Germany's most expensive places (Northern Germany is far less expensive than Southern Germany). I would suggest you to bring around €300 or €400 with you, plus your credit card (if you have one). And you also can pull out more money with your bank card from any German ATM machine as well. Should be enough - but also depends on your preferences as well.

My advice: buy your food & beverages in local supermarkets, like Aldi, Penny, Lidl or Rewe, Kaufland, Marktkauf, etc...that's really much, much cheaper than dining in local restaurants!!

This depends entirely on you spending habits.
Do you prefer to eat in restaurants or do you like fast food, do you only want to eat what you know from America or are you willing to try something different.
Do you by souvenirs at the jeweler or at a street market?

You see, a lot of things to consider.

If you intend to live on fast food, you would have to pay in Euros what you pay in $.

If you want to live on rolls and Bologna, a roll is 25 to 30 cents, 1 lbs. Bologna goes for 4 to 7 Euros (variety), butter 1 lbs. 70 cents. A bottle of beer between 30 and 90 cents, coke (if you want the real thin) is more expensive and you have in general to pay a deposit for the containers of the liquid. Coffee depends where you drink it, between 70 cents and 3 Euros.
Souvenirs like the kind you can buy in America in Dollar Stores are available here too, for the same amount of money.
Amusement parks I have no experience.
Museums are in general not very expensive, this also depends on what kind of parks/attractions you want to go.

At the attractions/parks websites they give you normally a quote for the entrance fee. So if you plan to go to special places, look their prices up in advance, else have fun.

I lived in Germany for two years and things are relatively the same price as they would be in the US. However, thinking logicly if you buy American items there they are going to be more expensive and if you buy German items they will be cheaper.
