There is just one CFA charter program -- they do not distinguish between a U.S. program and an international program.

The eligibility requirements for the CFA program are as follows:

From an education/experience standoint, they basically look for four years, which can be obtained as follows:

1. A U.S. bachelor's degree or equivalent (you can be in the final year of your BA/BS program and still be eligible), or

2. Four years of relevant professional work experience, or

3. A combination of college and work experience, totaling four years.

Then, you need to meet certain professional conduct criteria. You will have to sign statements regarding your professional conduct. The Code of Ethics and Standards of Professional Conduct, which are central to the CFA charter, are available in 14 languages.

Finally, you have to be prepared to take your exams in English.
