why don't people get take out or McDonald's?

People want to have the chance to talk and get to know one other. This is why first dates are not at McDonalds, whose seats are designed to be uncomfortable so as to move you out, and where noise levels are above average. You want to go to a nicer restaurant setting to tell your date that she means more to you than a burger and fries. It is about respect and courtesy.
Can I guess you don't date often?

Some people do get take-out or even fast food. For us, sometimes it's neat to get fast food or deli sandwiches and have a picnic, or just drive around and eat and talk. Most other times we'd rather have someone wait on us so we don't have to cook but we can still eat on plates.

We do. Sometimes though, it is nice to sit down and have a good meal together at a restaurant. I'm getting a little tired of cheeseburgers.

Back when my husband was my boyfriend he took me out for my birthday to Taco Bell. We had so much fun just goofing off and being silly. I love movie and take out date night - we have that every other friday night!

as long as you eat.that matters but well of course people go for the ambiance- the romantic dinner and all that. but for me, wherever as long we're together is good enough.
