Do you guys ever have that unsettling feeling of remorse and regret that follow you around for the rest of your life? There are some things I have learned to let roll of my shoulder, but some things in life I have done I just can't seem to let go of. Recently, I wrote my mother a letter apologizing for something I said to her like, 10 years ago! I feel better having written it, but what am I doing to myself? Have I started my own 12 step program? Is it possible to erase the big mistakes I've made in life? Can I counteract bad decisions with apologies and righting wrongs with new, fresh choices?

Mistakes are not always a bad thing in the long run. What you have done by making these mistakes is turned what you BELIEVED to be wrong into something you KNOW is wrong, and knowledge is a much more powerful asset to your soul than just mere beliefs. I am not saying you should give into temptation on everything you only BELIEVE in order to gain more knowlege, but everyone makes mistakes, and the best people learn from them.

If you really do regret the things you have done, apologising and asking forgiveness from those people is the first thing you can do, regardless of what their response is, the main thing you have to do now is to forgive yourself. You have to become at peace with yourself which you can only do if you are truely remorseful about what you have done(which it seems you are)... to enable you to move on. Showing these people you really have changed, will, in time prove to them that they can trust you again, which, in turn, over time will turn into complete forgiveness. (If this is not the case then you have tried your best, do not dwell on it for the rest of your life, just be sure not to make the same mistakes again in the future.)

Completely erasing mistakes is impossobile, hopefully you like the person you have now become. If or when that is the case you should know that without the life you have led you would not be the person you are today. If we could erase them, say one at a time, we would slowly be deminishing the depth of our character, and depth of character is something not everyones notices or appreciates. The most inspiring people have great depth and are very interesting, they are also the type of people that will desire association with you and through them you will get a lot more out of life.

Just remember that you ARE only human, that there ARE people who have been forgiven for much worse things, and, that you deserve as a human to give yourself another chance in life.

Well you can't fix what's already been done. No matter how much you regret it, like, a bad haircut, or writing a bad note to someone. (They happened to me) I make a lot of mistakes, but in the process, I learn from them, too. So don't feel as if mistakes you've made are going to break you, once you know what you've done wrong and how to do it better next time, it will make you a stronger and more experienced person. As for your questions...yes, I have those regrets, you are just having that moment of regret, don't worry about it, I don't know what a 12-step program is, no, it's not possible to erase history, and apologies are just like deodorant on a sweaty arm pit... If you know what I mean.

If writing a letter to make amends for a mistake makes you feel better, I say go for it but if the letter is only going to reopen old wounds with the person you send it to, you might think twice. Remember, we are human, we all make mistakes and the only thing we can ask of ourselves is that when we realize we have made a mistake, we learn from it and we do our best not to let it happen again.

Well if your mind won't let you rest of teh mistakes you ahve made in the past, then write them all down on paper and read them over and over again two or three times and then put them in a can or pit outside and burn them . All your regrets should go away because you ahve gotten them in the open and wrote them and then burned them. And now you feel refreshed and ready to go ahead with life. And remember from then on if you have this much trouble with what happened in the past, don't make any of those mistaked again. So want to caht more, E-mail me or IM me anytime.

Everyone has things in their past that they regret. If some of your mistakes can be corrected then correct them. If not, move on and forgive yourself. The best thing about mistakes you have an opportunity to learn from them. The hardest thing is not repeating them.

You can't change things you have said and done in the past but you can rectify your mistakes by talking to those you have hurt. If they accept it good enough, if they don't , then atleast you have tried. After that, it's best just to move on, no use dwelling on something you can't change :)
Godd Luck.

OK - forget the favors, I'll help you like i woudl help a friend.

There is positive energy in the world. positive attracts positive energy.

think of a situation which is weighing very heavily on you.
all the details as clearly as you can.

now reframe the situation - into the new situation - how ever you want to have happened.

now imagine enclosing this new image with white light -it creates a sphere of energy. and then send it off to the people who need to receive this message.

have fun

You cannot change your past mistakes. All you can do is to learn from them and try hard not to make the same mistakes again.
