Age doesn't really have anything to do with it...I know lots of women who are in their 40s who are still making the same pathetic relationship mistake...The ability to recognize bull comes with wisdom. I've seen it in people as young as fourteen. How does one get this wisdom?...lots of self-reflection and seeing each mistake as a lesson to learn from and not repeat!

It wasn't until about a year ago that I started realizing that a lot of the drama in my family I grew up in was baloney. (My extended family, not my immediate family) No wonder I moved a thousand miles away. I really don't have time for manufactured drama. It's so pointless.

Generally, yes; it sort of depends on your intellectual development and life experience as you matured.

There are plenty of "adults" that have faulty logic and whose idea of political discourse subsists of flinging labels and slurs.

But yes, most adults have encountered enough BS and lame excuses by the time they reach, say, 50.

Not only do I detect it sooner, I am also more apt to call someone out about it pretty rapidly as well.
