I'm worried that she is in distress due to her very strong movements that have been going on for the last 1.5 hours! I have been feeling a bit nauseous too and a little 'strange' but no real pain.
I have been experiencing stronger braxton hicks contractions for the past week, but right now she seems to be going nutso and keeping me awake. Any thoughts??

Her head is already engaged, has been for over a week.

She's probably going nutso because of the braxton hicks as well as the other things your body is doing to prepare for the birth. Drink some hot chocolate made with milk and lay on your left side. There is nothing that will stop the little bugger when she wants to go, but this could help make her a bit calmer and more comfortable. Think of what it's like in there for her, poor thing is as uncomfortable as you are. You are very close to your delivery so hang in there. All these things you are describing sound much like the very early stages of labor. Some even feel like they have the flu. Try some light exercising and stretching to help her move into a maybe more comfortable position. Good luck!

Absolutely normal for where you are in your pregnancy. It's amazing that they can be so active in there! Mine used to start by the clock at night....20 mins after 8PM. He's always been a night owl and still is and he's 16yrs old this week. He used to want to settle back down at 6AM but I worked til 0730 in critical care and couldn't go to bed til I got home at 0830.....I knew every clean bathroom on the hour drive home as he would beat my bladder with his head or feet til I'd go to bed.

First of all, congradulations! I had my daughter almost 3 months ago and it is the most amazing experience.
She is probably just getting ready. I am sure she is fine as long as your doctor says she is. The contractions are making her wiggle too. When your contractions are painful it is time. I went to the hospital early because I was so excited, my contractions weren't painful at all. They finally had to induce me. You can be contracting for a couple days before you are dilated. Usually women will have a bloody show when they are getting close and most women have some diarrhea the night before.(I know I did)

My son did that the night before I delivered him. I was having small contractions and he was going crazy in there. He would only stop moving for the contraction and when it would pass it was like a sign for him to go crazy in there again..lol. I don't think it's anything to be really worried about but as a just in case and to give you peace of mind, call your OB and tell him/her what's going on. It never hurts to be careful. Early congrats on your baby. I'm 32 weeks and 3 days along right now with my daughter.

at this point the baby is getting ready to make it's appearance to the world. it's very crampt in the womb at this point and i'm sure baby is just making itself more comfortable. unless baby is already 'turned', meaning head positioned down and feet up, this could be what all the moving is about. I am 37 weeks now with my fourth child and movement is a big issue right now for me as well. it makes me very nauseous and uncomfortable. but one thing that is good about movement is that you know your baby is doing well. no movement at all would be a major concern. enjoy these special moments....as much as possible....lol. you're almost there!

Sarah K is probably right. The baby is going to move into position in the birth canal and hopefully soon you will be holding the bundle of joy. Oh, water will break
