There is no way to do this. From the online shop, you can only buy a *new* Oyster card with a bus pass on it that gets sent in the post. If you want to recharge the Oyster card you can do this at a London Underground station ticket office or a newsagent. (This is because for recharges the online shop relies on you passing through a specific, preselected London Underground ticket barrier, which is something you won't be doing if you only use the bus).

No, this is just bad luck. It's a gamble everyone takes everytime they buy a 7 day pass - will they actually use it on more than 4 days? Of course, if you had been well, you would have gone to uni on more than just the one day and would still need to buy a new ticket the following week, so you're not any worse off. Don't even bother asking - you'd only waste time queueing up. Compared to the lost value from tuition fees, the tenner or so that you've "wasted" isn't a big deal!

Unless you have a doctors certificate that says that you were too ill to attend uni, or a letter from your tutor signed and stamped, there's no chance you'll get a refund. Even if you have, its at the discretion of customer services. The problem is that you could have used it to travel around (but just not gone to uni).

You may need to speak to TfL because I think the online facility assumes you are going to go through a tube gate.
