I got banned from a site I go on regularly because I was accused of having multiple accounts which I do not.

I have had an account for about 2 years and the day before yesterday I helped my friend set up an account using my computer which I guess made the owners of the site think I was creating multiple accounts.

I wrote to them telling them the situation and they said to have my friend email them from her computer but the problem is she does not have one.

My question is I have 5 computers in my household so I was thinking of just getting on one of the others and logging into my friends email and sending them an email saying I am her, do all of the computers in my home share the same IP address or do each have there own?

They use the same ip address technicaly, but they're probably subnetted. Strange that you got banned. Best bet to be safe is probably going to the library or something.

All the computers *inside* your home have an IP within the same subnet. However, Someone recieving communication from you would see your "public" IP - the one assigned by your ISP. So your friend's email would have a different originating address, while all of yours would be the same, no matter which machine you used.
One possible solution - if your ISP offers multiple mailboxes - with comcast you get five email aliases - set your friend up with one, then set her computer up for that POP account. Presto, she has a POP email account, and E-mail would truly come from her machine, and a different IP.

Best luck,
Scott

Your ip addresses are going to be simular to eachother. But they are not always going to be the same unless you have set your computers up to have a static ip. Everytime you turn on your computer it will change. Therefore I dont see how they could tell if it was from the same computer by the ip address.

Yes your all pcs take same ip, if u want to send email then open this site www.kproxy.com & browse particular site its an anonymus surfin or why don't u download "Invisible Browswing" software from www.techiesbox.com which hides your ip & takes another different ip.

The best way to check that is to go to www.whatismyip.com on each computer, which denotes your IP.

For me, I have a router, so usually if you have a router, you share the same IP given to you by your ISP.

If a switch, each of your computers should have a different IP.

Hopefully that answers what you were asking.
