I'm 9 weeks pregnant and I have not gotten hungry in about 3 weeks. I don't have morning sickness or anything to deter me from eating. I do however eat three small meals a day just because i figure it's not safe to not eat. I take prenatal vitamins. My question is has anyone else had this problem and how did you fix it.
I have a ob/gyn app. next week and i will be bringing this issue up with her, i just need to know I'm not the inly one in the world with this problem.

You're definitely not alone there! I went from being really hungry all the time to not at all a couple of weeks ago! And I still feel like that a bit now. It's just one of the weird symptoms that comes with pregnancy. Good news is I've spoke to my doctor about it, and she says it usually stops after the first trimester! Yey! Guess it's pretty much the same as the "sore boobs" and morning sickness eases off after the 1st trimester too. I'm 10 weeks now and just starting to feel a little better. Talk to your ob/gyn i'm sure they will ease your mind and help you more with this problem. Meanwhile try to nibble on fruit and crackers or toast between the meals that you are eating. And drink lots of liquids too. It's good your taking prenatal vitamins so keep doing that. Thats the advice I was given. Don't worry hun It'll pass! Good luck xx

I am about six months pregnant and I suffered horrible morning sickness. I couldnt keep any food down that I ate. The doctors say most girls lose weight when they first become pregnant. That was totally me.
But listen to this....When you first become pregnant your not automatically going to be real hungry just because your pregnant. It takes a while for some people. I didnt start being hungry almost all the time until my fourth month or so. Also, you dont have to eat much more just because you are feeding yourself and a baby now. So many woman think you do and thats how they add on so much unwanted weight during their pregnancy that wasnt necessary.

I actually was fine in the beginning then got sick about 6 weeks in. I found out it was my vitamins that I was taking. I found a different otc prenatal vitamin and it fixed the nausea not hungry feeling. So there are a lot of things some of it is just common systoms with pregnancy. But you might want to check with your doctor in case it is your vitamins!

Good luck and congrats

You are not alone and you are doing the right thing by eating and taking your vitamins! I will go through this back and forth. I am at 25 weeks now and just got back into wanting to eat after a couple weeks of making myself eat.

My first 3 months I ate possibly one meal a day which was actually just soup and crackers. But food smells made me want to throw up. I lost a lot of weight but the doctor told me I was perfectly fine. My hunger however, all of a sudden came back around my 4th or 5th month, and I ate everything in sight. Don't worry you are fine, good luck with the pregnancy!
