is the media the guardian of the cave that keeps us confined, content only to look at the shadows on the wall? telling us what those shadows are called? do we keep ourselves confined? who will help us discard our chains and go out into the light? to see the truth free of prejudice and stereo types? the media does not exist in a vaccum. without consumers, they would not be. they perpetuate, we continue to consume and participate.

I'll bet a LOT. Which is one of many reasons why I don't have a tv. If we knew who the jerks were who write and produce the trash that is on tv (looked beyond the curtain to see who the wizard was, so to speak), we probably wouldn't be so eager to watch their products. Because I assure you their personal lives are no doubt morally and even ethically bankrupt, which is reflected in the garbage they create.

probable a lot, the media is everywhere, just looking magazines in a store you can see how skinny women always appear, and the average person watches around 2 hours of tv a day.

i believe that the Media is total response able as far as steor typing goes that makes situations more then it really seems to be.
