I mean, I care about Africa as much as South America, but everyone focuses on Africa more than South America and every part of the world. Poverty and hunger are found in North America, Europe, Asia, EVERYWHERE! yet, it's like we all care about one place!

It must be true because when I hear World Hunger I think of Africa. That's all I see on TV. Wow!! I have NEVER seen anything about poverty and hunger anywhere else except in America and Africa. Guess that makes me stupid. And I thought I was above all that TV hype. Great Question!! @8-(

You have a very good point,but Africa is the most poverty stricken country in the world.People in Africa just can't go to a food bank like you or I.There is a reason why people over in Africa are dying of hunger.But there is nothing wrong with wanting to start charity in your own backyard,it's a personal decision.

Africa and South America are a real tragedy. I would prefer to do something about hunger in the USA before helping abroad!
