They don't "Work" at all, they sit in an air conditioned room and talk, not something that causes blisters (i.e., work)

Yes. according to working hours in a year, but since all the legislative days are clumped together it is hard, but not impossible for a congressman to have another job, and many do.

They certainly get PAID as if they do but my neighbor is a Congressman and he spends more time at home than anywhere else.

Yes, and they should be compensated as such. Lower pay and no benefits. Let them buy their own insurance just like we have to. Maybe then they would find ways to make health insurance available to all at a reasonable price.

yes, i was wondering that myself. it doesn't seem like they actually put in a full time effort. i think its probably attending a lot of parties and wining and dining. but they would want to be doing that anyway.

Yes just getting back and fourth to the airport for another trip abroad can be so "taxing". sorry couldn't help myself
