i need to stop singing at my schools dances

Personally, I found the DVD, "Breaking Through" to be incredibly helpful - well worth the purchase price, and then some. I'd start there. But continue to sing at school, as an artist, you'll always be growing, and school audiences are a great way to work with new material. Good luck!

Why do you need to stop singing at school events? The more exposure you have, the better. Try singing at events in your town or other local area.
Otherwise, your ONLY other option would be to audition for American Idol.
Because, honestly, that's how many singers get signed - they sing anywhere for anyone and get heard by the right person.
