Most Americans believe that Lawyers are crooked, but most politicians are Lawyers. Most Americans wouldnt want the prom king from their highschool running this country, but politics is nothing more than a glorified popularity contest, not who is the right person for the job.

The politicians regionally tell us what we want to hear on the same old issues ie..abortion, gay marriage..health care...social security and what not. These issues are a blanket for the masses to scwabble on while they push thier real agendas. Like Prom king and queen we vote on nice hair and teeth and not bother to reseach past mistakes of say a Vice President who used to be a CEO of a company that is involved heavily in government contracts. A lot of us do care, we write and call our Congresspeople, we protest, we talk to others, we research, we try to get people registered to vote. We are mostly behind the scenes, left for you only hear about the "ignorant" Americans which yes is the case.

Mushrooms. America has been euthanized by the media, by hollyweird. Our education system is run by socialists and it is in their best interest to keep Americans ignorant. The media has acted on a whole for years starting with Vietnam as a propaganda tool for socialism.
The legal system is set up to perpetuate this, it is economic security for the lawyers.
There was a rumor, not certain if there is any truth to it, about a real 13th amendment, one that would have prohibited lawyers from serving in the congress. Interestingly enough the amendment went to ratification, supposedly VA passed it, but curiously all other records of this were destroyed in "fires".
The legal system cannot be navigated without an attorney. The IRS tax code cannot be navigated without an attorney.
It is insidious and perpetuates ignorance of the common man. Americans are lazy louts as well. Yahoo Answers can show that clearly, just look at some of the people who believe the propaganda like it was truth.
Scary isn't it.
I have a suggestion, institute term limits on congress and this could be reversed.

Two good points, first, I definitely believe we are putting the wrong people in office, all we are doing in the age of mass media is putting people in charge who know how to manipulate that media and peoples opinion,but don't know much else. Second, don't get me started with lawyers, I believe their kind of " no such thing as right and wrong just shades of in between", or just making something wrong into something right by manipulating the system is a big part of the problems were having.

The amount of democrats that are elected are a prime example of ignorance in the voting population. Clinton being elected the first and second time is another good example.
The dominant media culture set the background noise to subliminally set the stage for the liberals. The liberals talk and confirm the seeds planted in your head.
If you vote liberal (democrat or republican) you are being led by the nose like a cow, or you are intellectually lazy/dishonest.

I tried to sleep and say FU to you all, but since you don't know me as well as you think, tell me the whys and the hows and I can figure it out. I have left far more behind then you think. It's only when I get bugged about It can recognize the small truths available. Besides I remember saying I would play, at least I win at all the reindeer games. Now of course tell me I'm wrong, cause I trusted whoever in the first place! I mean I must be stupid if you couldn't trick me better then that? Now I'm going to bed. americans see the whole world as usa only,maybe mexico also,but they dont know anything about other ppl & civilizations on this planet.
All they know about the outside world now is 1 word,,Terrorism .
The american ppl has gone through the biggest brainwash operation in history ,since the zionists controlled the main media firms,and as a result they controlled the WH also..
Thats why u see actions & policies taken by usa that no one in the world accept or even beleive that american ppl could agree with such things?but the american ppl think that they r on the right track and they r doing huge crimes just to spread peace & democracy!!!???the zionist media convinced them with that and they beleived.

Enthrall us with your brilliance in regards to the political sytem, and please steer us clear as to the errors of our ways.
You have much to learn and digest before you make any sort of blanket statement about Americans as a whole, and their take on politics. And the shoddy answer of "well I just go by what I've heard" won't do you any good here.

Americans are too wrapped up in their own lives to see what is going around them. It is more important to have the latest vehicle, cell phone or MP3 player.
Whats worse than not voting is not fully understanding a candidates' qualifications and placing blind faith in that person due to personal religious beliefs....another example would be the many people that just follow their parents preferences and not understand why or think for themselves to choose the right person for the job.
But this is all subjective...Everyone chooses candidates differently based on their own criteria.
