I checked out 7 places before picking the one I did.Make sure they are licensed and the staff knows what they are doing. Also cleanliness is very important.Make sure you get one that has a variety of beds and tanning supplies.Have fun,I LOVE to tan and feel better when I have a tan.I know its is bad for your skin but so is smog and crabby pasty people always in your face about tanning, lol

u will just have to research the tanning places in your area...make sure the place is clean, & that the beds are properly sanitized between customers...friendly, knowledgable staff is also a plus, especially when u have questions about products or whatever...i prefer tanning in a bed (altho i do both) because many times i just don`t have time to lay outside & tan, there are even 10 min. beds now, so even if u have a hectic schedule it`s possible to do...of course we all know the risks of tanning, & that`s just something u as an individual need to think about...

No, YOU WILL damage your skin. Not you can.
UV is a radiation that causes skin and other cancers. It also destroys the elastin in your skin which is why you see those 50 year old sun bathers that look like they are 90 with elephant skin.
It is cumulative throughout your life. So what you hit your body with today will be added onto if you do it again in 5 years. The damage done is done, elastin doesn't "get better."

PROS- it's fast, you dont have to worry about getting burnt, its actually NOT bad for your skin
CONS- it doesnt look as good as a regular tan, the sun gives you more Vitamin D than the flourescent lights

well lets go with the bad first
- the bad thing is that it can damage ur skin..like if u stay in the tanning thing for too long ur skin can get damaged or too dark ..
-the good thing is u dont have to sit out in the sun for hours u can get it done in 30 min. or less..and u dont have to worry about sunblock
