She should talk to her parents if it worries her. More people than you know smoke pot and are great people who work, parent and play just like everyone else. Alcohol is much more dangerous and widely accepted, marijuana has found much negative attention because it's illegal in a lot of places, but it has many medical benefits besides being something that helps some to wind down. Tell your friend to talk to her parents.

Pros and cons here. First of all its only Marijuana, not coke or heroin. Is she being raised good? are her parents neglecting her? is she being feed? is she getting beat? If the authorities find this out they will send the cops over there, if drugs are found your friend will be removed from the home. In most cases this is worse on the child then what the drug is. A kid doesn't do much good talking to the parents. The parents already know it isn't right to do but they are doing it anyway.

there are support groups that specialize in the education and the "how To's" when dealing with addiction. The most common is "ALA-TEEN" and "NARA-teen" they are sister groups to alcoholics anonymous and narcotics anonymous. They are designed to help you deal with the addict themselves. All information is kept confidential.
Be careful when approaching someone who you feel is abusing drugs or alcohol. They are not likely to view the issue the same and may become defensive or combative. Esp. if they are the parent. It is a very common form of denial.
Has your friend tried sitting down with her parents and just telling them how it makes her feel (not what they are doing wrong) Key word phrasing is very important.I wish I could give you one answer. However, each user/addict is different. you may need to take more than one type of action.

WHO CARES, parents drink, no one stops them. Drinking leads to beatings. The Chronic leads people to be peaceful. The fact that ur friend is comfortable to talk to ur parents about it, proves my point. A druken set of parents would beat her *** if she had the guts to even consider it. Weed a bag drug, what is a bad drug is peer pressure. That **** is known to lower standards and judgement and leave u with a hang over of regret and retardedness.
