Jealousy is never a good thing. Makes the person who’s feeling jealous feel not like themselves, puts a strain on the relationship and it makes the other person feel guilty aswell, and sometimes for things that aren’t even wrong to do.

So my question is, is there ever a time where jealousy might be appropriate?

Should we feel jealous when our partner talks to another girl/guy?

Does that depend on how good looking that girl or guy is?

And why do we feel jealous at all, it’s only talking, right?

Does it bother you when your partner looks at other girls or guys? Or does that not really matter?

Or is jealousy only appropriate when your partner would be having an actual interest in this other girl or guy?

In romantic realtionship jealousy is very normal. People in love are very intutive. They know when the fine line bewteen a casual friendship and not so casual is crossed. They just know insticntively so you have to be sensitive to that. To see your romantic interest showing interest to other members of opposite sex is the worst feeling. Make sure you show your bf/gf that he/she is the first priority in your life cuz they are.Let him/her know how important he/she is to you.Let them know they come first and then comes your friends and the rest. Show them enough love, care, admiration that would make them feel secured. When they realize you love and care for them more than anyone or anything, they won't be that critical anymore. But you have to maintain the fine line and take note if your partner is sensitive to one particular friendship cuz it happened to me when I was dating my now husband. I had friends & colleagues of opposite sex he was ok with but one guy. we werelittle close and he felt I cared for him more so he felt hurt. we had the worst fight me explaning there is nothing more but he became more sensitive & hurt so I let go of that friend without having a second thought cuz I loved him so I made him my first priority. He didn't demand that but i wanted to prove him how important he is to me. in love we all would feel like this at some point so I thought if I can't do this for him, how can I expect him to do this for me if tomorrow I feel the same way concerning a certain person in his life? when look back I know this was a wise decision.Today i'm married to this wonderful man for 15 years and blessed with 3 lovely children.

Only talking to another girl/guy is not only possesive, but rude. You've made a commitment to only love one another, that dosen't mean they can't have friends (not "friends") of the opposite sex. And when they are looking at other people, it's not always romantic interest. Sometimes that person has spinach, being rude and/or stupid, ect, ect.

THE BOTTOM LINE:

TAKE A CHILL PILL.

jealousy is acceptable when your partner has already cheated and you are trying to learn to trust again. i don't think in a healthy relationship jealousy is okay, b/c trust SHOULD be the backbone of a relationship and if you trust them, then you shouldn't be jealous.
