Don't know, since they haven't made the playoffs yet... There are 5 teams that have a legitimate shot at the last couple of playoff positions in the East, so the Rangers making the playoffs is far from certain.

Possibly to the second round if Lundquist plays as well as he has been. If he gives up alot of goals the RANGERS will be gone early. He is the reason they are even playing for a playoff spot.

Well they have to get in first and if they have to play Ottawa or Buffalo in the first round they are toast. If they can some how move into the 6th slot and maybe get the Devils they have a small chance. Not much though. The top Eastern Teams are much stronger.

they still have to make the playoffs first then you can ask that question. yes they've been pretty good but still have two games against another good team that has been winning big the Montreal Canadiens and this are the games that mean the most cause both this teams are fighting for a playoff spot and they play each other two more times.

That's IF they make the playoffs. If that happens, they'll win no more than 2 games and lose in the first round.
If not...there's always next year

if they win today, they are in 6th, so if they can get 6th, they have a shot at 2nd round and maybe further
there can be alot of upsets this year cuz so many teams need to hit a hot streak to get in, and that can carry them into the palyoffs, kinda like last years west
the rangers have played well lately, and lundqvist has been amazing

They need to clinch the playoffs first.
That being said....(Hot goalie + good team defense) @ end of March = High probability of making the finals.

If they make it , they'll end up playing 5 or 6 games and be done, they aren't good enough to make a deep run, too many Euros.

They are hot right now and there is no one in the east that is unbeatable. They need to stop taking so many freaking penalties though.
