tell you the exact equipment used by certain bands,or what amp settings they used etc? I found a site like it before where you could just search a band and it showed their exact recording rigs etc but i just cant find it anymore >.< i didnt think to bookmark it either,doh.

in the forums, they have a settings thread which is found here: http://ultimate-guitar.com/forum/showthread.php?t=294480. You can also look all around on that site for lessons, reviews, articles, etc. It's a great tool for guitar players. Joining the forums can also be a help, seeing as they have some informed members who can help you with what you need.

some info can be found in magazines. i would also check the pro audio sections in a guitar center too.
