Sorry, forgot to add, and who prefer tablet? what are the advantages and disadvantages of a tablet PC?

You should get a 17" monitor, because it's the biggest size for a notebook monitor, and it's good for gaming too. Tablet PC's are good computers, and can be used for different occasions.

If it is a desktop replacement laptop, which you would not be traveling with, 17 inches is the best because it is an amazing screen that is perfect for watching movies, etc. and doesnt make you strain your eyes.
But for traveling often, 12.1 seems like the largest I would get. It is very uncomfurtable to travel from class to class or country to country with such a heavy and bulky item.

12.1, because I travel alot and the laptop only weighs about 4 pounds. If I want a bigger screen I can always hook the laptop up to my larger monitor in my office or my home office quickly via the port replicator.

for laptop, I prefer 15 inches because it's perfect for what I do. Any bigger will be too heavy. If any smaller, I will have a hard time to see. if it's for desktop, I'll get the biggest monitor i can afford so i can see.

Hi. If the laptop will be used as your primary machine then 17". It is heavier but the added resolution is useful. But if you will be carrying it around a lot I would go with a smaller, lighter display.

I prefer 17" for space...but one would like smaller for more portability! Simply put!
