I should be careful what you say mate. I've just posted a question regarding the Iranian seizure and have now been told I'm either living in part of Iran or am a back stabbing scrounger (I think they were suggesting I was a Muslim living in Britain). I think your question, like mine, was suggesting hypocrisy on the part of Britain and the US - I entirely agree with you, I don't think our servicemen and woman will be subjected to the same degree of 'justice' that takes place in Guantanimo Bay.

I am very ashamed of the US govt.'s advocacy and enacting of torture. There has been a lot of resistance to it in Congress, by the way, and the american people, such as myself have no involvement in it.

One of the arguments that has been used against the use of torture is that it will create a retaliation, and it will be used against our troops.

If "our" includes British, I am out of words.

However, just from reading the article it looks like they might hold them hostage. Our diplomatic relationship with Iran has been very tense and they might use these kids to gain a stronger negotiating position.

They are not 'insurgents' however, they are soldiers who wandered into Iranian waters.

I don't do a thing to protest the torture of prisoners by the side "committed to the cause of fighting terrorism around the world". However, in my heart I don't like torture, so I think I've done enough.

Now to the important stuff: how long do you think it will take Britney's hair to grow back?

Insurgents? Are you saying the UK has invaded?... tis news to me, British sailors in Iraqi Territorial waters yes.

Maybe the recent UN vote on sanctions against Iran is a factor?
