If any of you were watching comedy in any of the previous centuries, don't be afraid to stick your oar in.

"Ooh, I remember Demogenes did a wonderful turn in the ampitheatre about a Spartan, a Hun, and the Emperor Claudius... we laughed and laughed... just before they fed him to the lions, it was, eeeeeeh."

I have to say the BEST comedian is Billy Connolly. Also Robin Williams would be in my top 5 comedians. I heard peter kay is good but havent really heard him and dont like his accent so might not like him.

Billy Connolly: When people say while watching a film "did you see that?". No tosser, I paid 10 quid to come to the cinema and stare at the f*cking floor

When people say "it's always the last place you look". Of course it is. Why the f*ck would you keep looking after you've found it? Do People do this? Who and where are they?

not his best jokes but most of his are long - these i got off the internet.

Eddie Murphy, without a doubt, he is the funniest guy on the planet. Too many jokes and movies to mention, have a look at delirious and Beverly hills cop movies.

Rodney Dangerfield one night on the Tonight Show he brought the house down when he said," You know I'm Bi-sexual. If I want sex I have to buy it." He was great in "Caddyshack" and he helped a lot of today's comedians get their start.

Probably Monty Python. Some of their humor is absolutely tasteless, and some I don't get at all, but most of it leaves me limp with laughter. The Cheese Shop is I think their most inspired skit.
