Your milk is perfect for your baby. Milk looks different at different points in the day. And the foremilk (beginning of a feeding) looks thinner than hindmilk (end of the feeding). It may be a slightly different color day to day and feeding to feeding as well.

Breastmilk really doesn't resemble cow's milk all that much. Mature breastmilk looks much more watery than cow's milk does.

Trust that your body is making exactly what your baby needs.

no breastfeeding is very nutritious for your baby. It might be that they are engorged or that you are only nursing from one side. Normally that is the fore milk very watery looking but its still good for your baby but the best is the hind milk which is very white that is the fat milk. Try alternating breast when you are feeding him. Congrats on breastfeeding. Just make sure that you are eating the right things, because what you consume goes right to the baby too. I nursed my twin boys who are now 15 months and I am trying to ween them now. What was hard for me was to eat somethings that I was accustom to before the babies. I noticed that cabbage, hot dogs, broccoli, and onions made them very gassy. I'm not saying stop those things but use them moderateness. Congrats breastfeeding is the best source of nutrition you can gave your baby

NO! your milk is the best thing you can give your baby! the watery milk is some thing your baby needs! it is the "first milk" and it hidreats the baby... the equivlant of giving a bottel fed baby water.if you let your baby nurse on that side for a while you eill see that the milk is the same on bolth sides.

Probably you have too much milk on the side that looks watery, so you are seeing more foremilk and less hindmilk. It's not at all bad for your baby since he needs both. Check out this link for more info/advice:

Nope. I have been nursing my son for almost a year now and one side always looks watery and the other looks thick. It switches from side to side depending on how much he took out of that side the last time he nursed. Your milk is perfect for your baby.

no, though you should try breastfeeding on that side until empty before offering the other breast , if you dont empty your milk production will go down , once they are even again remember to alternate
